Here is more about Sarah O’Shea, BA Psych, and her training and approach:
Sarah O’Shea is a dedicated Holistic, Trauma & Somatically-Informed Wellness Counsellor at Ananta Wellness & Osteopathy Clinic. With a deep understanding that “the body keeps the score,” Sarah is passionate about supporting individuals toward healing by reconnecting with their innate ability to restore safety and connection in one’s healing journey.
Sarah’s approach is rooted in meeting individuals exactly where they are, honoring their experiences and emotions with compassion and curiosity. She sees the healing journey as a collaborative process—where the client remains in the pilot seat while she supports as a co-pilot, offering guidance, tools, and the occasional emergency brake when needed. With a strong foundation in neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and emotion-focused work, Sarah helps clients transform their protective mechanisms into sources of empowerment, fostering greater resilience and connection.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), breathwork, mindfulness practices, habit & pattern work, and somatic trauma healing to cultivate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and mind-body integration.
In addition to one-on-one counselling, Sarah facilitates workshops on Polyvagal Theory and the application of neurobiology in therapy with a focus on the autonomic nervous system, effective communication, and building emotional attunement toward a life of emotional resilience, equipping clients with practical tools for long-term well-being. She is deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can shift from merely surviving to truly thriving. You can read more about Sarah on our Team page.
